What are the advantages of planetary reducer gear and ordinary reducer

The planetary gear can rotate around its own axis of rotation like a fixed-axis gear, and its axis of rotation also rotates around the axis of other gears with the blue carrier (called the planet carrier). Compared with other gear reducers, planetary reducer gears have many advantages. When transmitting power, they can split the power. The input shaft is coaxial, which means that the output shaft and the input shaft are arranged on the same main shaft. Therefore, most ordinary gear reducers have been replaced by planetary reducer gears, which have the following characteristics:

1) Stable operation, strong shock and vibration resistance

The planetary reducer gear adopts several planetary gears with the same structure, which are evenly distributed around the central gear, so that the forces of the planetary gear and the rotating arm are balanced. The coaxial reducer also increases the number of teeth involved in meshing, so the planetary gear transmission runs smoothly.

2) The transmission ratio is large, which can realize motion synthesis and decomposition

The gear structure of the planetary reducer only needs a few gears to obtain a large transmission ratio. For example, the transmission ratio of industrial planetary reducer gears can reach several thousand, and the reduction ratio can maintain the advantages of compact structure, light weight, and small size. At the same time, it has a large transmission ratio.

3) Small size, compact structure, large carrying capacity

The planetary reducer gear has the characteristics of power split, coaxial transmission of each center wheel, and reasonable application of internal meshing gears, so it can make its structure very compact. Several planetary gears are evenly distributed around the central wheel to share the load, so that each gear bears a smaller load, allowing a smaller modulus. The coaxial reducer makes full use of the capacity of the inner ring gear itself in structure, so it is beneficial to reduce gears, with small size, compact structure and large carrying capacity.

4) The planetary reducer moves smoothly, and has strong shock and vibration resistance;

Since several identical planetary gears are evenly distributed around the sun gear, the inertial forces of the planetary gears and the rotating arm can be balanced with each other, and the number of teeth involved in meshing can also be increased, so the transmission movement is stable, the impact and vibration resistance is strong, and the work is reliable. Transmission ratio I = 7.15, power P = 4,400kW, compared with the general reducer, from which we can see the superiority of planetary reducer gear.
