At the same time, these companies also want to take advantage of the rapid expansion of China's industrial robot market to achieve the leap-forward development of China's reducer industry and reach the world's advanced level.
Although the domestic demand for robot reducers has great potential, the domestic market is still occupied by foreign brands, especially Japanese manufacturers. 75% of the global right angle planetary reducer market is monopolized by Japan, and only a few domestic products are put on the market. According to statistics, so far, there are more than 420 domestic robot companies, but only 13 are studying reducers, of which only 5 have made initial progress in RV reducers, and the current research and development is still difficult.
The robot consists of three systems, namely, the control system, the servo system and the transmission system. The RV reducer in the transmission system is the joint of the robot, just like the gearbox of a car, which controls the output and operation accuracy of the robot's manpower, accounting for 33% of the cost of a robot. The robot joint reducer is required to have the characteristics of short transmission chain, small size, high power, light weight and easy control. Generally, a universal robot needs 4-8 sets of reducers.
The robot industry chain can be roughly divided into upstream key components, midstream machine system integration and downstream applications. From the perspective of the industrial chain, the gap between the upstream key components and foreign countries is large. Among all the core components, the reducer is very critical. Therefore, for the development of China's robot industry, the localization of right-angle planetary reducer is imminent. Domestic enterprises should practice hard and concentrate on technological research and development and innovation, which is a major issue in the future development strategy.
